Bio:

I’m a first year PhD student in Informatics at the University of California, Irvine. I’m currently researching on how remote software teams collaborate and the tools they use to support them.

Prior to commencing my PhD, I worked in industry for 20+ years, in a variety of roles ranging from engineer to business analyst to product manager. This work was predominantly in technology teams in the financial services domain. I worked in a variety of distributed teams and this experience drives my interest into how software teams work.

I have a BA (Hons) in Mathematics and Computation from the University of Oxford and a MSc in Advanced Computer Science from Manchester University, UK.

I’m originally from the UK and moved to Southern California a couple of years ago.
